The theme for Saturday’s third annual Clover LEAF Gala, “Honoring Our Past and Growing Our Future,” beautifully reflected both the organization’s legacy and its continued commitment to education in our community. As the Clover School District experiences a year of historic growth, Clover LEAF’s investment in supporting teachers and students has never been more meaningful.

One of the evening’s most memorable moments came with the presentation of $2,000 gifts to the principals of the district’s three new schools. These funds are intended to help launch new programs and support early initiatives as the schools open their doors, ensuring students and teachers have the resources they need from day one.

The gifts serve as a powerful reminder of Clover LEAF’s mission: strengthening public education today while helping cultivate opportunities for generations of students to come.

At Saturday evening’s third annual Clover LEAF Gala, guests enjoyed learning more about the Foundation’s largest gift to date—a $5,000 contribution supporting the Clover High School band’s trip to perform in the renowned Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California. The annual parade, first held in 1890, features some of the nation’s finest marching bands and is watched by hundreds of thousands of spectators along the route and millions more on television.

Local media guru Andrew Ketchum captured the excitement of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in a special video documenting the band’s preparation, travel, and unforgettable performance experience. The video offers a behind-the-scenes look at the dedication and pride that went into representing the community on a national stage. Take a moment to watch and celebrate this remarkable achievement.

What a night! We are still reveling in the fun of Saturday evening’s third annual Clover LEAF Gala. A beautiful evening at Camelot Meadows provided the perfect backdrop as we celebrated the 40th anniversary of Clover LEAF and the many individuals who have helped shape its mission over the years.

Founders Windy Bartee and Teresa Glass were in attendance to enjoy the celebration, along with original board member and former Clover LEAF President Franklin Pendleton. Thanks to their vision—and to the leadership and generosity of so many throughout our community—Clover LEAF has awarded more than $200,000 to support education in the Clover School District.

Clover LEAF is extremely grateful to all of this year’s sponsors for helping make the evening such a success, including our Platinum Sponsor, Comporium. Their support, along with that of our many partners and guests, ensures that Clover LEAF can continue investing in innovative programs and opportunities for students and teachers across the district.

At tonight's monthly Board of Directors meeting, new president Karen Farris presented outgoing president Kyle Eller with gifts of appreciation from the group in recognition of his service as President of Clover LEAF for the past two years. Kyle has done a great job leading the group as it continues to expand its impact in the Clover School District and beyond. Thank you, Kyle, for your leadership!

A competitive pickleball enthusiast, Kyle enjoyed his custom plaque that was created by Ms. Lauren Ford and her students at the Center for Career Innovation at Clover High School.
