Please join us as we recognize and celebrate our newest NHS members for their achievements in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. We would be delighted to have you join us for this special occasion. The event will be livestreamed from Facebook as well.

🏀🐻 CLOUDCROFT YOUTH BASKETBALL IS BACK! 🐻🏀

We’re getting ready for another season of youth basketball and are looking for kids who want to play!

The Alamogordo Rec League has once again agreed to let us put together teams made up of Cloudcroft kids! This is a great opportunity to give more of our local kids a chance to play basketball without having to travel to Alamogordo for practices throughout the week.

🏀 Season: January–March
🏀 Practices: Approximately twice a week in Cloudcroft starting in January
🏀 Games: Fridays or Saturdays in Alamogordo

Practice days and times will have to work around the middle school and high school athletic schedules, so some flexibility will be needed.

We need to get an idea of how many kids are interested ASAP! Our goal is to put together multiple Cloudcroft teams, but spots will be limited depending on the number of players and coaches we have available. Teams filled up last season so reach out ASAP! Please don’t wait until last minute to reach out!

WE ALSO NEED COACHES! 🙌

The more parents and community members willing to help coach, the more opportunities we can provide for our kids. You don’t have to be a basketball expert to make a difference!

Our goal is simple: Give as many Cloudcroft kids as possible the opportunity to play, develop their skills, build friendships, and be part of a team!

The Cloudcroft Board of Education will meet for a work session Tuesday, October 13th at 7:30am at 10 Swallow Place. The meeting will be livestreamed via Zoom at the link below. You may submit written comments 10 minutes prior to the start of the meeting via comment on the Facebook post, or via email to [email protected]. You must include your first and last name. Comments are limited to two minutes. These comments will be read during the “Visitors” portion of the meeting. Comments will only be accepted and read at Regular School Board meetings where "visitors" are on the agenda - not special or emergency meetings where "visitors" are NOT listed on the agenda."

LAST DAY >> The Cloudcroft School District is holding an inventory reduction auction featuring items such as a school bus, furniture, musical instruments, and other equipment. Bidding ends October 12 at 6:00 p.m.

We are pleased to honor our 12th grade student of the month, Parker! Parker was nominated by Mrs. Gray, aka "Mama G", who says he "consistently goes above and beyond in my Culinary Arts program. He gives his best effort in class and is always willing to step up and help, especially during caterings. Parker is a great young man who shows responsibility, teamwork, and a positive attitude. He takes pride in his work and represents our student body in a positive way. He is a wonderful example of what it means to be a student who works hard, helps others, and makes a difference. I am proud to have Parker in my program and believe he is very deserving of this recognition."

Congratulations to our 11th grade student of the month, Nathan. Thank you, Nathan, for a being a great example of a Bear. Proud of you!

My parents are Patsy and Thom. My favorite subject is math because it ties in with what I want to do in the future. My hobbies are video games riding my dirt bike and listening to music. I plan to go to college for a business degree.

This is a reminder that on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, students in grades 9–12 will be taking a College Board exam at Cloudcroft High School during the regular school day.

These exams are required at Cloudcroft High School, so it is very important that your student arrives on time and ready to test. Testing will begin promptly at 7:45 a.m.

You can help your student prepare by ensuring they get a good night's rest Tuesday night and arrive at school with their fully charged Chromebook, charger, #2 pencils, and a calculator (if they have one).
