We are excited to invite you to our Family Canoe Day! This event is a collaboration between Anishinaabe Canoe Migration and Gidakiimanaaniwigamig.
Date: Sunday, July 19th
Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: Kiwenz Park and Recreation Area. 3212 Magney Dr, Cloquet, MN 55720
Cost: Free (lunch provided)
We have planned a day of Anishinaabe cultural canoe activities.
Bring active clothes, hat, water bottle, sunscreen & towel.

Just a reminder that we will be hosting a parent advisory board meeting tomorrow night at the Cloquet Forestry Center from 6-8pm.
Dinner will start at 6 PM followed by the meeting at 7.

Boozhoo All,
I would like to invite you to the inaugural Gida Parent Advisory Board meeting on Tuesday, May 19 from 6:00–8:00 PM at the Cloquet Forestry Center. We will begin with dinner, followed by a meeting to kick off planning for Gida in the coming year.
The purpose of this Advisory Board is to strengthen parent and community engagement as we look to the future of Gida and work to sustain the camp for years to come.
To get us started, I plan to include a few items on the agenda, such as:
• Discussing a theme for the upcoming year
• Ideas for overnight security
• Determining the frequency of Parent Advisory Board meetings
That said, I want this to be your time to share thoughts, ideas, and perspectives to help ensure everyone is getting the most out of camp. If there is anything you would like added to the agenda, please feel free to email me and I will include it.
