Last night at GSR Kartway, Racing for Education sponsored the race night. We were blessed with the presence of Mark Locy, one of the original coordinators of Racing for Education. We also invited staff from New London Middle School. Joining us were Principal, Ann Pinch, 6th grade teacher, Brooke Ritchie, and Alt Ed teacher, Brett Pickarts. Thank you for showing up for our students and having a little fun competition in the karts. Also competing in the expedition race were three alumni racers Cayden, Keenan, and Trevor. Rounding out the team was our final racer Tom Blumreich who continuously has helped us throughout the season. Thank you to all who came out to support us!

New London Racing for Education is sponsoring a race night at GSR Kartway on Wednesday, August 13th, 2025. Please come out and support our program! 🏁 GSR allows us to run an additional race during intermission. 🏎️ The guest kart racers are usually our Principal, Mrs. Pinch, teaching staff, school board members, avid supporters, and maybe a parent. This also happens to be the night that Mares Farm Market sponsors their corn roast. 🌽

Racing for Education is a New London Middle School program that gives 6th-8th grade students a chance to come together and work as a team to race karts at GSR Kartway during the summer months. We race every Wednesday (unless there is a rainout). Please come out and watch some evening! Races start at 7pm!

What an incredible night for our program! It was our sponsor night and we were excited to be able to share our program with everyone. Thank you to the New London Middle School staff and New London school board member who were able to come out and race with us. We really enjoyed sharing the evening with you! Also congratulations 🎉 to Braxton on winning the feature with the help of Jillian, his pit person. We have a few more weeks of racing if anyone wants to come out and watch!

Congratulations to Team Myles and Hunter last night. They had a great evening. Myles took 1st in the first heat race and Hunter finished 2nd in the second heat. This gave Myles a great starting position for the feature. It was an exciting finish and everyone drove hard and had fun!

Racers and race fans - Tonight’s races have been cancelled due to the rain. We will see all next week’s scheduled racers next Monday for work night.

I'm a little behind and need to play catch-up. Congratulations to Juanefren and George for winning their first features. Their excitement and smiles say it all!! Also congratulations to their respective pit persons Keenan and Trevin for helping them get to the finish line first! You can catch us racing on Wednesday nights at GSR Kartway in Marion. Come out and watch us some week!!!

24 bottles of Gatorade and a case or water later, Leiam comes out with a win in the feature! Madelyn was his pit person this week. Congratulations!! It was a very warm night especially when you are wearing long sleeves and a helmet but the kids had fun and the ice cream served at concessions helped a bit. 🍦🏁
