We have an exciting announcement! Erskine College will lower its annual published undergraduate tuition and required fees from $36,710 to $29,000 beginning in Fall 2027, giving students and families a simpler, more transparent starting point for evaluating Erskine’s affordability.

Parents and students, be aware. I know that one of our students received something similar for an app called “Valid.”

“Someone at your school sent you a compliment.” This text message is making its way around many schools right now.

The text message includes a link that leads to an app called Peek: Secret Compliment.

Downloading and accepting app will send all the people in your contacts list the same message from whatever school you type as your school. This multiplies quickly as more kids accept and allow the app into their phone.

Here’s what parents need to know:
• The message may actually name your child’s school.
• The curiosity is the hook. Kids want to know who sent the “compliment.”
• Peek is an anonymous school-based polling/compliment app.
• Kids may be encouraged to provide their school information, access contacts and invite other students.
• There are paid features tied to discovering who selected them.
• Anonymous apps involving classmates can quickly create privacy, bullying and harassment concerns.

And remind them: Just because a text knows the name of your school does NOT mean it came from your school.

Proud of Samuel!! He has worked hard for this honor!

🎉 Congratulations to Clinton High School senior Samuel Hunt on earning a perfect 36 on the ACT! 🏆📚 A member of the Clinton High School Science Olympiad and Academic Teams, Samuel is already looking ahead to his future. As he visits college campuses and works on his applications, he plans to major in Psychology and hopes to become a professor of Political Psychology. Only about one-quarter of 1% of students who take the ACT earn a top score. We’re incredibly proud of Samuel and this outstanding achievement! 👏💙
