The count is complete! Our CMS Betas completed 309 service hours this school year, and participated in several service projects. We are so proud! Thank you to the schools, businesses, organizations, and churches who allowed our students to “lead by serving others!”

This past weekend, many of our Beta Club members attended the State Convention in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Our students competed in events alongside students from across the state, and several earned top placements. The following Beta Club members placed in competitions: Hank Lanford earned 5th place in Biomedical Health Science; Arohi Patel earned 4th place in Fiber Arts Division I; Ellis Workman won 1st place in Fiber Arts Division II; and Arohi Patel, Salaam Jenkins, Hank Lanford, and Allie Wages earned 4th place in Quiz Bowl. Additionally, Salaam Jenkins earned 4th place in Science, and Gray Garrett earned 5th place in U.S. History.

Two more wins tonight! 🏆🏆
Ailah placed 2nd in Sculpture for the second year in a row! She created and wired a beautiful light-up bonsai tree.
Jerry placed 5th in Digital Arts! She created the art piece that is shown. This is her second win at this year’s convention!
McCain, Jayley, Natalye, Savanna, Katie Hope, Emily, and Amelia also competed in arts competitions today. Anna Carter competed in the speech competition.
We are so proud of our Betas for stepping out of their comfort zones to jump in and compete against students from all over the state!
