Have you ever felt God leading you toward something and immediately thought, “Lord, are You sure I am the right person?” 😊. Maybe the assignment feels bigger than your confidence. Maybe the season requires more patience, courage, or discipline than you think you have. You know God is calling you forward—but you are very aware of your own limitations.

The believers in Thessalonica may have understood that feeling. They were a young church learning how to follow Jesus in a culture that did not always support their faith. Paul encouraged them to live with love, holiness, prayer, gratitude, discernment, and perseverance. That was a meaningful calling—but it was not something they could accomplish through human strength alone.

Then Paul gave them this simple assurance: 📖 “Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:24 KJV. In other words: The God who called you is faithful enough to help you become who He is calling you to be.

You see, Paul was not telling them to sit back and do nothing. They still had to obey, grow, pray, and make faithful choices. But the outcome did not depend entirely on their own ability. God Himself would continue working in them.

That truth still applies to us today. Sometimes we treat God’s calling like a group project where He gives us the assignment and then disappears. But God does not point us toward His will and leave us to figure everything out alone. 🙏🏾

God provides strength for the next step. He gives wisdom when we ask. God corrects us when we drift.
He develops our character while we are doing the work. And yes—sometimes God's process takes longer than the timeline we wrote in our heads. But slow progress does not mean God has stopped working.

Our month focus, Finding Strength and Direction Through God’s Faithfulness, connects beautifully with this scripture 🌅. We find strength when we stop depending only on what we can do and begin trusting what God can do through us. We find direction when we remember that God’s calling is supported by God’s faithfulness. When He leads you, you do not have to know every detail before taking the first step. You simply need enough faith to obey what He has already shown you.

Here are a few practical ways to live out this verse:

✨ Pray before assuming you are unqualified.
✨ Ask God what obedience looks like today—not six months from now.
✨ Take one faithful step instead of waiting to feel completely ready.
✨ Stay connected to Scripture, prayer, and wise Christian community.
✨ Remember that God’s work in you is still in progress.

Your responsibility is not to control the entire journey. Your responsibility is to remain available, obedient, and willing to grow.

Brothers and Sisters,

Have you ever looked at your life and thought, “Lord, You still have quite a bit of work to do over here”? 😊

The believers in Corinth probably could have related. The church at Corinth had received many spiritual gifts, but they were also dealing with division, pride, confusion, and some very real problems. They loved Jesus, but they were still learning how to live like people who belonged to Him.

Yet Paul opened his letter with this reassuring promise: 📖 “Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.” — 1 Corinthians 1:8 KJV. The word “confirm” carries the idea of being strengthened, established, and kept firm.

Paul was not pretending the Corinthians had everything together. He was reminding them that God had not abandoned His work in them. Their weaknesses were real, but so was God’s ability to keep shaping, correcting, and strengthening them until the end.

That is encouraging for us today. Sometimes we assume that one mistake, one difficult season, or one area of weakness means we are failing completely. But God does not throw away unfinished people. He continues working in those who belong to Christ. 🙏🏾

Being “blameless” does not mean we earn perfection through our own effort. It points to the security and cleansing we receive through Jesus Christ. God corrects us, matures us, and teaches us to walk faithfully while keeping our eternal hope anchored in Christ.

This scripture connects beautifully this month, Finding Strength and Direction Through God’s Faithfulness. First, our strength comes from knowing that God is still working—even when our progress feels slow. Second, our direction comes from trusting Him enough to receive correction, obey His Word, and take the next right step.

And the very next verse, 1 Corinthians 1:9, reminds us why we can have that confidence: God is faithful.

When you feel unfinished, remember:

✨ God’s correction is evidence that He has not given up on you.
✨ Your current struggle is not the end of your story.
✨ You can ask God for direction instead of reacting from fear.
✨ Daily obedience matters more than appearing perfect.
✨ The same God who called you is able to strengthen you.

Sometimes spiritual growth looks dramatic. Other times, it looks like apologizing, starting again, closing the wrong door, or choosing not to send that message until after you have prayed. 😊
