Our Anderson County Innovation Academy, JAG Tennessee students celebrated UTrust Special Teacher Appreciation! They solved the mystery of “Apple Blossoms: Will they Cake?”… Yes, they will! Thank you Mrs. Tiffaney Kline for supporting our students!

In conjunction with UTRUST, students from the Anderson County Innovation Academy celebrated the cafeteria staff. A pirate-themed Black Forest cake was made and delivered by the JAG Tennessee students.

Today, we celebrated Mr. Harshbarger for Principal’s Appreciation Day! Mrs. Melton’s JAG-TN class created a beautiful cheesecake charcuterie board for him to enjoy. It was delicious! We appreciate everything he does for our staff and students each and every day.

This morning, a beautiful sharp-shinned hawk accidentally flew into our classroom door. Upon impact, it was injured. Our wonderful staff worked together to rescue the young hawk, and our very own Ms. Fink drove it to the Owl Ridge Raptor Center in Washburn, TN. The Owl Ridge Raptor Center is a nonprofit that takes in injured birds of prey and works with local veterinarians, the UT Veterinary Hospital, and rehabbers to give care and support to these beautiful birds of prey. The Owl Ridge Raptor Center was amazing, and we want to thank them for all of their help today. (https://owlridge.org/home)

Throughout the day, our students asked for updates. We are happy to report that as of this evening, our sweet hawk is doing well! We are so happy!

Also, we have thought about giving our bird a name. What do you all suggest? ☺️

JAG Tennessee students from the Anderson County Innovation Academy helped to celebrate Director Appreciation Day. They presented our directors with homemade vanilla and chocolate cupcakes with spiced vanilla buttercream!
