🏋️ Weightlifting is highly encouraged and will be held after each practice

Thornwell Charter School honored at Charter Institute at Erskine awards banquet Thornwell Charter School was well represented at the Charter Institute at Erskine's Eighth Annual Awards Banquet held on May 20.

We are proud to celebrate the students, educators, leaders, and volunteers who were recognized at the Charter Institute at Erskine’s Eighth Annual Awards Banquet! 🌟🎉

⭐ Special congratulations to Assistant Principal Brooke Miller, who was named the 2026 Charter Institute at Erskine Assistant Principal Champion of the Year! This prestigious honor recognizes exceptional leadership, service, and commitment to student success.

🎓 We are also thrilled to celebrate JT Shorter, who was selected as an Erskine College scholarship recipient. Thanks to the generosity of Erskine College, graduating students from Charter Institute schools have access to significant scholarship opportunities to continue their educational journeys. JT will attend Erskine College this fall, where he will also continue his athletic career in cross country and track and field.

Congratulations again to our Students of the Year—Ethan Boyd, Bri Coats, and Madi Porter; our Teachers of the Year—Vicky Culbertson, Tyler Hightower-Wilson, and Mariza Genanda; and our Volunteer of the Year, Kathy Kinsey! 💙💛
