Mississippi College Bands

The Mississippi College Choctaw Marching Band has been invited to march down Constitution Avenue in the Independence Day Parade in Washington D.C. on July 4th, 2026 in celebration of the 250th anniversary of America! We will be raising money for our students to attend through a raffle fundraiser offering participants a chance to win a 5-night trip for two to Hawaii. Raffle tickets cost $20 each or six for $100, and the prize includes round-trip airfare for two to Honolulu along with a five-night hotel stay on the island of Oahu, courtesy of Music Celebrations International. The raffle is open to individuals 18 years of age or older, and travel must take place within one year of the winner being announced. The winner will be revealed at the Symphonic Winds concert on March 1st at 3:00 p.m. in the Swor Auditorium. Either scan the QR code or use this link: https://commerce.cashnet.com/MCBAND

It was a great day for MC and a great day for band!! The marching band played as guests entered the Celebration Gala tonight, and our student led MC Jazz Combo entertained guests during dinner. We were entertained by our own MC Alum and executive director of Opera Mississippi, John Christopher Adams, as well as Sean of the South, and our headline, a conversation with Leanne Morgan. I am so happy our students were highlighted in this special event!
