We were thrilled to welcome two of our neighboring districts to join us today for an in-service day with an incredible keynote presentation with Jeff Joiner Training.

It was truly an inspiring day filled with learning, growth, laughs and community. We are so excited to take the notes we gathered back to our own cafeterias and apply these powerful lessons to our daily roles.

Attention Families! Great news for the upcoming school year! 🍎✨

All students enrolled in Anderson County Schools can receive one healthy breakfast and one nutritious lunch daily at no cost.

Guidelines for A La Carte Items:
🍔🍟🥗🍌🍎🥛🧃🌮🍝🍪🥤

While daily standard meals are entirely free, extra items do cost money. Please note the following guidelines for purchases outside of the standard breakfast and lunch menus.

Extras require payment: This includes second entrees, individual milk cartons, snack items, baked goods, and specialty drinks, ice cream ect.

No charging allowed: Students cannot charge a la carte items.

Accepted payment methods: Students must have cash/check in hand at the register or funds pre-loaded onto their student cafeteria account, via My School Bucks account.

Complete meals are free: To get a meal for free, students must select a full, qualifying reimbursable meal (which includes a fruit or vegetable component). Individual items chosen by themselves will be charged at a la carte pricing.

🌞 What an AMAZING summer it has been! 🌞

As our 2026 Summer Feeding Program comes to a close, we want to take a moment to say **THANK YOU** to every single person who helped make it possible.

Whether you were on the **front lines** preparing meals, packing bags, distributing meals, driving routes, greeting families with a smile, or working **behind the scenes** ordering food, planning logistics, coordinating schedules, handling paperwork, and keeping everything running smoothly—you were an important part of this mission.

Because of the dedication, teamwork, and heart of so many incredible people, **92,216 meals** were served to children in our community through Summer School Meals, 3-Day Meal Packs, and 7-Day Meal Packs. ❤️🍎🥪

Every meal represented more than just food—it was care, compassion, and a reminder that our students are supported even when school is out.

To our School Nutrition teams, volunteers, transportation staff, school administrators, community partners, and everyone who lent a helping hand... **THANK YOU!** You made a difference in the lives of thousands of children this summer.

Now it's time to catch our breath, celebrate what we've accomplished together, and get ready to welcome our students back for another great school year in August!

That's an incredible **21,602 meals** distributed to local children and families! ❤️

Summer meal distributions take a lot of planning, teamwork, and dedication, and we are so thankful for every member of our School Nutrition team and every volunteer who helped make today possible. Your hard work continues to make a real difference in the lives of children throughout our community.

Seeing everyone come together week after week reminds us that even the simplest acts—like sharing a meal—can have a big impact. Thank you to everyone who loaded meal bags, directed traffic, greeted families, and worked behind the scenes to help us reach this milestone.

Today, thanks to the hard work, dedication, and big hearts of our School Nutrition team and amazing volunteers, we distributed:

🍎 **10,290 Breakfasts**
🥪 **10,290 Lunches**

✨ That's a total of **20,580 meals** provided to children in our community! ✨

None of this would be possible without our outstanding School Nutrition staff, volunteers, and community partners who give their time, energy, and smiles to make these distributions a success.

💙 Thank you for showing what can happen when a community comes together with a shared purpose. We are proud of what we've accomplished and grateful for everyone who played a part in making today such a success!

☀️ **What an incredible start to our Summer Feeding Program!** ☀️

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing School Nutrition teams, volunteers and everyone who helped make our first summer meal distribution such a success!

Because of their hard work, dedication, and commitment to serving our students and community, we were able to distribute **9,800 breakfasts and 9,800 lunches** for a total of **19,600 meals**.

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to provide nutritious meals to children throughout Anderson County and couldn't do it without the teamwork and support of so many dedicated individuals.

Thank you for making a difference in the lives of our students and families. Your efforts truly matter!

We look forward to seeing everyone again next Friday as we continue serving our communities!
