With all the craziness of the holiday season I totally forgot to post what classes our children completed! Our 3-5 year olds worked on rhyming including books, games, snacks and much more! Our 6-9 year olds had a class on exploring Australia and a class exploring the 50 States including taste testing foods from the eastern states. Our 10+ class had a young adulting class and an escape room class complete with a field trip to 5 Witts to complete one as a class. They also have plans to make an escape room for our 6-9 year old group in the new year! We are having a wonderful time learning and growing as a group.

We have met for 2 fun field trips this month with our Mohawk Valley LEAH (loving education at home) friends. We learned about fire safety at the Clinton Fire Department and how our mail is handled at the Clinton Post Office. If you are interested in joining us for field trips please join Mohawk Valley LEAH. This past week we finished our first minimester (6 weeks of classes). Our children enjoyed some wonderful classes. Our 3-5 year olds were led by Ms. Sarah in Fall in Love with Jesus. Our 6-9 year olds had a Financial Education class led by Ms. Deb and Ms. Rachael from First Source Credit Union as well as Ms. Molly led a class on Field and Flowers. Our 10+ class explored Animal Anatomy with Ms. Brooke and Ms. Kristie led the children in how to interview a person and write an article for a newspaper with the information. We are excited to continue our learning together!

This past Tuesday was our last co-op meet up for our 2024-2025 school year. It was a wonderful year!
We finished our year with our 3-5 year olds learning about their bodies. The 6-9 year olds had a stem class as well as a science class on fish, reptiles and amphibians. The 10+ students had a fallacies class and a stem class.
We will all enjoy our much deserved summer break!

We went on a field trip last week to our local recycling center. We went with our parent chapter Mohawk Valley LEAH. It is always fun to enjoy trips with some friends we don't always get to see! This past week we had the Utica Zoo bring some animals to our co-op. Our 6-9 year olds have been learning about reptiles so it was a perfect opportunity to bring the animals to them with the Utica Zoomobile!

Recently we completed our second spring minimester. Our 3-5 year olds explored space. Our 6-9 year olds learned more about nutrition and healthy living as well as a S.T.E.M. class. Our 10+ kids had a Google documents and Internet safety class as well as a basic cooking skills class. Our 10+ kids gave group presentations trying to market their very own video game they designed. This had them use their imagination as well as all their skills in PowerPoint. It was wonderful to see the teamwork and creativity of our young children!
