🏠📚 TRY THIS AT HOME TONIGHT!

You don't need a worksheet or an app to practice literacy.

Grab a book and ask your child these 3 questions:

1️⃣ Before reading: “What do you think this book will be about?”

2️⃣ While reading: “What do you think will happen next?”

3️⃣ After reading: “What was your favorite part, and why?”

These simple questions help children practice prediction, comprehension, vocabulary, and communication skills.

Most importantly, you're showing your child that their ideas about books matter. ❤️

📖 READING TIP FOR PARENTS

When your child comes to a word they don't know, try not to immediately give them the answer.

Instead, ask:

👉 “What sound does that letter make?”
👉 “Can you look at the beginning of the word?”
👉 “What would make sense here?”
👉 “Let's look at the word together.”

Giving children the opportunity to think through a word helps build independence and confidence.

And remember, it's okay if they don't get it right away. ❤️

The goal isn't perfection.

The goal is progress.

Every child learns differently, but there are some signs parents may want to pay attention to:

-Your child avoids reading whenever possible.
