Our 5th graders put in a full day’s work at JA BizTown today! They learned what it takes to run a successful business, earn and spend money responsibly, and work together as a team. From managing business operations to running errands on their lunch break, our students got a hands-on look at what it takes to succeed in the real world!

We are so proud of their effort and teamwork! A big thank-you to JA BizTown and all of our parent volunteers for helping provide such a fun and meaningful learning experience for our students!

Our fourth graders have been ROCKING it!

Earlier in September, students became scientists as they participated in an oil spill experiment. While learning about the effects of obtaining natural resources, they explored different methods for cleaning up an oil spill in the ocean and discovered just how challenging it can be to protect our environment!

At the beginning of October, our students traded in their scientist hats for detective badges! Our classroom transformed into a crime scene, and students put their math skills and critical-thinking abilities to the test to solve the mystery and identify the culprit.

We have had so much fun bringing math and science to life through hands-on experiments, creative problem-solving, and exciting classroom adventures. Our fourth graders are learning, exploring, and making memories every step of the way!

❤️ Red Ribbon Week is coming up October 26th-30th! ❤️

We know it's still a couple of weeks away, but we wanted to go ahead and share our dress-up days so families have plenty of time to plan!

Here is the schedule for Red Ribbon Week days:

💧 Monday, 10/26: Match Your Water Bottle, Not the Crowd!
Dress to match the colors of your water bottle! For example, if your water bottle has a purple lid and green bottom, you could wear a purple shirt and green pants!

🧦 Tuesday, 10/27: Sock It to Drugs!
Wear Crocs with silly socks or silly socks with sandals!

👗 Wednesday, 10/28: Drug Free Is Always in Style!
It's Comfort vs. Classy Day! Dress in your comfiest clothes OR get all dressed up in your fanciest outfit!

🌴 Thursday, 10/29: Drugs Are Never the Right Choice!
Dress for the Wrong Occasion! Come to school dressed like you're headed somewhere OTHER than school! You could dress for a beach vacation, a safari, a graduation, a construction job, karate practice, or even bedtime! The possibilities are endless - just dress for anything except school!

🎃 Friday, 10/30: Say BOO to Drugs!
Wear your Halloween costume to school!

As always, please make sure all outfits and costumes are school-appropriate. Please make sure your costumes still follow our regular dress code so everyone can participate safely and have fun!

🇺🇸 Help Us Honor Our Veterans! 🇺🇸

Our school will be celebrating Veterans Day with a special program honoring the brave men and women who have served our country. As part of our celebration, we will be creating a slideshow featuring family members of our students who have served or are currently serving in the United States military.

We would love for your family to be a part of this special tribute!

🍩DONUT DAY IN SECOND GRADE🍩

Our second graders had a SWEET time reviewing their math and reading skills with a special donut day!

Students worked hard as they reviewed what they had been learning in class. We are so proud of the progress they have been making this year!
