Kindergarten is off to a great start, and our students have been learning so many new things! They are working hard on reading and writing their names, learning and following our “expected behaviors,” practicing counting, recognizing, and writing numbers 0-5, and starting to hear sounds in words as we read and write from left to right. This week, our 4th graders explored different forms of energy and how energy can be transferred from one object to another. They worked hard over several days to design and build their very own Rube Goldberg machines. Each machine had to demonstrate at least two different energy transfers. Our students had so much fun being creative, problem-solving, testing their designs, and making improvements along the way!

Be sure to wear your orange and black or your favorite Dragons gear as we get ready to cheer on the Clinton Dragons in the first high school football game of the season! 🐉🏈

Students can also bring a few dollars to pick up some fun Clinton themed items:

🇺🇸 GOES Patriot Day Ceremony 🇺🇸

Friday, September 11th at 8:45 AM

The students and staff of Grand Oaks Elementary School would like to invite all local first responders (fire, police, EMS, and other emergency services) to join us for our Patriot Day Ceremony on Friday, September 11th at 8:45 AM.

We encourage visitors to come in uniform.

Please park emergency vehicles on the street-side of the bus loop, near our flagpole.

Please check in at the school office upon arrival.

Your service and sacrifice mean so much to our community, and we would be honored by your presence!
