**How I choose my tutors… 🔑**

I get a LOT of résumés.

Most get a quick look. But every once in a while, one immediately stands out.

I’m usually looking for one of two types of educators:
✨ Someone with a niche specialty that fills a need at MST.
✨ Or someone with years of experience across a wide range of learners who has truly mastered their craft.

If I think they’re a good fit on paper, we hop on a call.

And honestly? That’s where the real interview begins.

I want to know:
• Do you believe kids learn through movement and hands-on experiences?
• Do you understand the mission behind MST?
• What excites you about teaching?
• Are you still passionate about this work?

One of the biggest things I pay attention to is burnout.

I don’t want educators who are counting down to retirement, frustrated with parents, or carrying resentment into the classroom. Kids deserve more than that.

I want teachers who still light up when they talk about learning. Teachers who have energy. Patience. Curiosity. The kind of people who celebrate the tiny victories because they know those moments change lives.

Programs can be taught.
Systems can be learned.

But genuine passion for helping kids? That’s something you either bring with you or you don’t.

This little key isn’t just for an office.

It’s for someone I’ve trusted to help protect a child’s confidence, spark a love of learning, and represent everything MST stands for. 🤍🔑

Why did we decide that the only “right” way to learn is sitting at a desk all day?

Most adults can’t stay seated and focused for hours at a time... yet we expect children to. And when they can’t, we often label them instead of changing the environment.

Learning isn’t one-size-fits-all.

At MST, kids learn by moving, creating, exploring, and engaging—because movement isn’t a distraction. It’s part of how many children learn best.

As both a mom and an educator, I spend my days teaching children that words matter.

The words we say to others. The words we say to ourselves. The words that shape confidence, kindness, and resilience.

So for my daughter’s 5th birthday, we celebrated a little differently.

Instead of another toy, we gave her an experience at Little Words Project® —where she created a bracelet that represents who she is and the values we hope she’ll carry with her as she grows.
Because social-emotional learning doesn’t only happen in a classroom.

It happens in the moments we intentionally create with our children.

✨ Teaching kindness.
✨ Building confidence.

Final search!

We’ve had the opportunity to meet with some incredible therapists and professionals, and we’re in the final stages of building a community of like-minded providers who believe every child deserves an individualized approach to learning and growth.
