Jewel and metalwork requires students to develop their fine detail skills. Making things that you can wear opens up a whole new avenue of creation. Being able to work on a small scale requires different thinking which can even translate to professions like dentistry and medicine! ❤️

Learning to use color in expressive and unique ways is the cornerstone of painting. In beginning painting students dive deep into color theory and color mixing to create masterpieces. We pair their practice with study about artists, works, materials and methods as well as the science of chemistry of the mediums they use!

Professional practice teaches students all the ins and outs of being a working artist. We practice professional writing, documenting work, shipping work, applying to art exhibitions, and take part in field trips that show artists in action! This course is great for artists, but also any student who wants to polish their professional/creative representation to the world!

Learning to work with your hands requires intention and control. In ceramics we work through a variety of projects to develop hand work skills, as well as gain knowledge about the chemistry and history of ceramics.

Life drawing provides a unique and necessary approach to drawing that encourages students to explore and thrive! This dynamic class explores human anatomy and with a varied approach including skeletal studies, live models, field trips, and engaging group work.
