Update on Cookie Dough Fundraiser: PTO now has the paper orders that were turned in to the office before school was closed. One of our members will reach out to you tomorrow with details on returning your money. If you do not hear from us by Monday, your order form is still in the building. It may have not made it to the office before the shutdown and we will get it to you as soon as we can.
Online orders were processed as they came in so you should have received your orders/prizes.

Here is a brief:) description for the officers of our PTO:
President: preside over and call to order all meetings of the organization and executive board
Call special meetings
Be liason between board/staff and parents
Spearhead ideas for fundraising/Family Fun Nights
Create schedule of board meetings for the school year
Coordinate work of officers and committees
VP: aid President with duties
Assume Presidents' role in their absence
Keep accurate roster of all attendees at each meeting throughout the year
Secretary: keep accurate record of all of the meetings of the organization
Handle all correspondence
and communications as needed
Set up Family Fun Nights
Treasurer: Receive all monies of the organization
Keep an accurate record of all receipts and expenditures of the organization
Pay out local funds authorized by the organization
Present a financial statement at every meeting of the organization and when requested by the board
Executive Assistant:
Be present and assist/ coordinate volunteers at fundraisers/family fun nights and provide support the board and all of its activities
Spearhead Spiritwear
Handle Box Tops, Kroger Rewards, Amazon Smile

PTO is looking for new officers for next school year. There is one person interested in Treasurer, but there are four other positions open. President, V. President, Secretary, and Assistant. We are all at the end of our terms and are ready to pass the baton. We are all willing to shadow each position for another year so that no one would feel blindly thrown into a job with no guidance. Let me know if you are interested and I can answer any questions you have.

Salk PTO is offering the online purchase of school supply kits for the 2020 - 2021 school year. These will be on sale until July 1st. Grab yours today for your student(s)! Be sure to select the grade they will be entering next year when you purchase. ✏️🖍✏️🖍

Our next PTO Meeting will be Jan. 16th @ 6:00pm in the media center. We are looking for more people to sign up for the mother/son event committee. We will need a head planner and other helpers to make this event successful.
