Genbu-Kai Karate is a traditional Japanese dojo that specializes in the art of Karate-do, Kobudo (Okinawan weapons), and Batto-do (Japanese Sword). We offer no contracts, unlimited classes, Private and Group training, Self Defense seminars, Children's classes, Adult classes, Women's classes, and always a FREE trial class.

We are so proud of all of our students that tested this past week, what ever the outcome come may have been.
Kyu Testing is about growth, not perfection.
Some students earned a new rank, while others discovered what they need to improve for next time. Both are valuable steps in their karate journey.
In Karate-Do, setbacks are not failures. They are opportunities to learn, improve, and come back stronger.
Remember your dojo family is always here to support you on your karate journey and cheer you on.

As parents, we’re always encouraging our children to step outside their comfort zones, work hard, and keep learning.
This June, we’re inviting fathers to do the same.😊
Join our Adult Martial Arts classes at 8:00 PM and train FREE for the entire month of June. Challenge yourself, improve your fitness, sharpen your mind, and experience firsthand the journey your child is taking through martial arts.
No experience required. Just show up and give your best effort.🤩

Celebrating Children’s Day (こどもの日) in Japan 🇯🇵🎏A day dedicated to honoring the happiness, strength, and bright future of children.
Families raise colorful carp streamers called koinobori, symbolizing courage and perseverance, inspired by the carp that swims upstream against the current. Homes are also decorated with samurai helmets (kabuto) to represent strength, resilience, and protection.
A beautiful reminder to nurture confidence, character, and spirit in the next generation, both on and off the dojo floor.😊

We are so proud of everyone who showed up and gave their best effort at our Annual Spring Tournament! We couldn’t have done it without all of our students who helped behind the tables with scorekeeping and judging. And of course, there would be no tournament at all without our amazing competitors!
We are already looking forward to our next tournament in August!
