✨ Meet the New Faces of MRD! ✨

We’re so excited to introduce some of the amazing new staff members joining our MRD family this season! Meet Mrs. Sue!

Mrs. Sue is the director of Holistic Ballet Yoga community (class and HBY Ensemble) has a passion for dance and yoga and has danced with many companies over her career and continues to perform as well as teach. Presently Susan is performing with HBY Ensemble and previously with Dance Nonce, DDCdances (company dancer and ballet mistress, 28 years), MoreDances Contemporary Dance Company (company dancer and modern dance teacher, 10 years), stbdance, Harbinger Dance Company, Ballet Michigan, Opus Dance Ensemble and Dance and Company. Sue also spent eight years traveling dancing in professional review shows and musicals, including "Beyond Belief" at the Frontier Hotel in Las Vegas and at the MGM in "Jubilee". Sue danced in shows on board the Norwegian Cruise Ships for one year and worked as dancer, company manager and dance captain. Sue was a full dance merit scholarship student at Giordano Dance Center for one year, studied Vaganova ballet teacher training through Nutmeg Ballet and at Lake Michigan College.
Certifications include YogaMedics RYT 200, Sun Moon Yoga RYT 200, Yin yoga, Common Sports Injury Specialist and Biomechanics of Human Movement though NESTA, EasyFlexibility Method certification, Progressing Ballet Technique and Progressing Contemporary Technique. Susan has studied Thai Massage and for health, also has a vegan cooking certification through Forks Over Knives cooking school.

We’re so excited to introduce some of the amazing new staff members joining our MRD family this season! Next up is Ms. Janet!

Janet Clayton-Reid has been a professional dancer since the age of 19 dancing in ballet and modern companies and in review shows and musicals in Italy, Japan, the US and also in theme parks and on board the Norwegian Cruise Lines. She is presently the Artistic Director of MoreDances Contemporary Dance Company. She has teacher training in the Vaganova Method of Ballet. Janet teaches ballet, jazz, tap and modern dance in many studios in Metro Detroit. We are thrilled to have her on staff!

✨ Meet the New Faces of MRD! ✨

We’re so excited to introduce some of the amazing new staff members joining our MRD family this season! Next up is Miss Abi!

Miss Abi has been dancing for over 15 years and has trained extensively in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Contemporary, Pom, and Musical Theater. She grew up studying both Cecchetti and Vaganova ballet techniques. While she loves all styles, Jazz has always been her favorite!

Abi recently graduated from Hillsdale College with a major in Sports Management and a minor in Dance, with a focus on Methods of Teaching. During her time at Hillsdale, she was a member of Tower Dancers, the college’s residential dance company, as well as the college cheer team. These experiences provided her with valuable opportunities to choreograph, teach, and coach dancers of all ages.

✨ Meet the New Faces of MRD! ✨

We’re so excited to introduce some of the amazing new staff members joining our MRD family this season!

First up is...
Kelly Quinn, professionally known as KQ, is a Michigan-based dance educator, choreographer, and performer. They graduated from the University at Buffalo in New York with a degree in Dance, completing the program in just 3.5 years. During their collegiate career, KQ received recognition for their choreography and had the opportunity to both present original works and perform at the American College Dance Association (ACDA).

Growing up in the competitive dance circuit, KQ has trained and choreographed in a wide variety of styles, specializing in tap, jazz, and contemporary. Their professional performance credits include working with Todrick Hall and NOW UNITED, as well as performing with the Idlewild and SoakZone Entertainment Team in Pennsylvania during the fall of 2025.

KQ has been a member of the DFX faculty for the past two years, serving as a dance competition judge. They also teach at numerous studios throughout the region, offering instruction in tap, jazz, and a variety of other dance styles.

KQ is thrilled to join the faculty at Manda's Rhythm & Dance! They are passionate about inspiring confidence, creativity, artistry, and strong technical foundations in every dancer they teach while fostering a positive, encouraging environment where every student can thrive.
