Letter to Parents from Mr. Soine

August 2026,

Greetings Parents and Students,

I hope that your summer was safe, productive and enjoyable. School days are soon back in session, and I am happy to welcome you to the 2026-27 school year. I am excited to have students back in our classrooms and hallways filling them with energy and enthusiasm for learning.

I recognize that to be successful in school, our children need support from both home and school. As partners we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities.

I am honored to serve as the Principal of Climax - Shelly Public School and it truly is a privilege to be part of a school where we strive to build positive relationships that support research based academic growth. The student schedules should be pretty much set for the most part with the exception of new arrivals. Please come to our Back-to-School night on August 25 between 4:00-6:00 to get lingering items ironed out.

Tuesday, August 4th, Climax Shelly School will be hosting their registration night from 4-7 pm. This is for any new or returning students who wish to register for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This is also a reminder for families that this would be a good time to come in to update any contact information that will be needed for the upcoming school year. SCHOOL BOARD CANDIDATE FILING PERIOD IS JULY 14-28

The filing window for Climax Shelly School Board candidates opened Tuesday, July 14, and will run through Tuesday, July 28. Climax Shelly School Board has 5 seats up for election.

Anyone interested in running must file an affidavit of candidacy weekdays at the District Office, 111 East Broadway Climax, MN 56523.

Candidates must live within the Climax-Shelly Public School district.
