We did it! We made it through the 1st week of school and the weather is .✨gorgeous✨! Don't forget to stop by the UMES playground afterschool today to give the kids a chance to run and play, hang out, and chill with a Kona ice! The Kona truck will be on the blacktop from 4:30-6:30PM and the PTA will receive 20% of the proceeds from all transactions. This money will help fund our 2026-2027 budget for school-wide programs and events! See you there!

The PTA will have a table at Open House and we'd love to have a few volunteers sign up to help out!

We will be giving out the PTA calendar for the 2026-27 school year and selling Spirit Wear along with magnets and stickers.

Volunteering at Union Mill

If you are looking to volunteer for the 26-27 school year and have not already done so, complete your Volunteer FCPS registration this summer! This is required for all FCPS and Union Mill Volunteers, including PTA volunteers, to ensure a safe, consistent, and welcoming environment.

All volunteers must:
Register With Volunteer FCPS: https://volunteer.fcps.edu;
Create a profile in Volunteer FCPS;
Register for opportunities through Volunteer FCPS;
Sign in and out of schools using the visitor kiosk.
