Our engineering students recently tackled the classic Egg Drop Challenge! Working with limited materials, teams designed protective capsules using principles of impact absorption, drag, and force distribution. Teachers connected the lesson to real-world aerospace engineering applications, such as landing spacecraft safely on Earth or dropping critical supplies into remote regions. After building and testing their designs off the staircase balcony, students enjoyed seeing their engineering skills in action as they checked to see which eggs survived the drop.

What better way to reward summer reading than with books, crafts, and donuts?

Students who completed our Summer 4 Reading Challenge, reading four books over the break and submitting a short reading log, were invited to a celebration in the school library. During the event, students designed custom reading pins, played a reading-themed game, selected a brand-new book to keep for their home libraries, and enjoyed Krispy Kreme donuts.

We are so proud of our students for staying committed to reading throughout the summer break. Great job, readers!

September is Attendance Awareness Month. Getting to school every day starts with small routines at home. A consistent bedtime and morning routine, preparing the night before, and having a backup plan can help mornings run more smoothly. If your child is feeling anxious about school, reach out to their teachers, counselor, or another trusted adult for support.

The Centreville High School Marching Band brought music and school spirit to Liberty. We loved welcoming the Wildcats back, especially the former Lions who returned to perform for their old school. Students also enjoyed the band’s famous “guillotine” move.
