Monthly Emergency Siren Test Reminder

The Clifton Texas Police will conduct its monthly outdoor warning siren test today at 12:00 p.m.

This is only a test of the emergency notification system. No action is required.
Regular testing helps ensure our equipment is functioning properly and ready when needed.

CITY OF CLIFTON ENTERING STAGE 2 MANDATORY WATER RESTRICTIONS

The City of Clifton will be entering Stage 2 Mandatory Water Restrictions. As we move into this next stage of our drought response plan, we ask all residents and businesses to review the watering schedule and requirements carefully.

Under Stage 2, watering is limited to designated days and times based on your property type/address. There is no watering on Mondays, and watering between 10:00AM and 8:00PM is strictly prohibited. Please refer to the graphic for your designated watering days.

As we enter Stage 2, we also want to make residents aware that overwatering and excessive runoff will be addressed. Due to the nature of Stage 2 restrictions, City Administration has the authority to establish and enforce specific requirements necessary to reduce excessive water use.

Code Enforcement WILL address overwatering when water runoff is observed draining 50 feet or more from the property line. We encourage property owners to check sprinkler systems, watering durations, broken sprinkler heads, and drainage to ensure water is being used efficiently and remaining on the intended property.

Our goal is to work together as a community to conserve water and avoid unnecessary waste while these restrictions are in place.

If you have questions about the restrictions or how they apply specifically to your property, please contact City Hall. Staff will be happy to help you understand the requirements.

Thank you for doing your part to conserve water.
