What a great first day! Symphonic Choir, ROAR, and Guitar 1 met today. All 34 members of Symphonic were there, so it’s already time to introduce them. 🥰

Meet our 2026-2027 Symphonic Choir! Symphonic is our advanced mixed choir. We got to singing right away today and they sound amazing already! 😍 I never thought I’d be able to say this, but I actually have a full tenor section filled with legit tenors (not baritones who had to move up or altos who had to move down)! Our 104-member program has come a long way since the 56-member program I inherited in 2023 and I can’t wait to see what this year brings. 🎉

I’m ready for you all!! 🎉 It was so fun seeing many of our freshmen at orientation on Thursday, and I can’t wait to see everyone on Monday! It’s a special year — since it’s my 4th year at CVHS, this year’s seniors were my first freshmen. 🥹❤️ It’s going to be an amazing year!!

Huge congrats to our own Lily Hamel, who was selected to participate in Governor’s School for Vocal Music! Lily stayed on the Radford University campus for 3 weeks while learning from expert faculty and collaborating with talented singers from across the state. We’re so proud of you, Lily!

Huge congrats to my former student Allie and our former choreographer John, who were both nominated for a Jimmy Award and got to perform on stage on Broadway tonight!!! They were nominated for their roles in the Fairfax Academy production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, which I had the pleasure of seeing in February! 👏🎉🥹

They did it!!! Congrats to the class of 2026! We love you and are so proud of you! ❤️🥹👩‍🎓🧑‍🎓🎉
