Budokai Karate will help instill respect, self-discipline, and responsibility, as well as condition the body and teach self-defense. Many people begin training in Budokai Karate for a wide variety of reasons. However, the overriding goal of our Karate School is to help each person become a better and more well-rounded person, both inside and outside the dojo (training hall). Our programs are for all ages:
Tiny Tigers (4-6)
JR Karate (7-12)
Teen/Adult Karate
Golden Lions (55+)

We offer both live and virtual classes. Our facility is regularly cleaned and our school strictly adheres to all NYS COVID-19 Guidelines.

🇺🇸 Today, we remember.

On this Patriots Day, U.S. Budokai Karate honors the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and every family forever changed by that day. ❤️‍🩹

We remember the fallen.
We remember the families who lost loved ones.
And we remember the firefighters, police officers, first responders, military members, medical professionals, and countless ordinary people who showed extraordinary courage by coming together to help. 🇺🇸

Tragedy has a way of bringing a community together. On 9/11, we saw people put differences aside, stand beside one another, and show what strength, courage, compassion, and unity truly look like.

Those are values we strive to teach through karate.

🥋 Strength isn’t just physical.
🥋 Courage means standing strong when things are difficult.
🥋 Respect means honoring others.
🥋 And sometimes, standing tall is a state of mind.

Today, we stand tall and proud in remembrance of those we lost and with gratitude for those who stepped forward to help.

♿️ We broke boards AND barriers! ♿️

This weekend, U.S. Budokai Karate had the absolute honor of hosting an incredible Women’s Self-Defense Class for Women with Disabilities, with the support of EmpowHer Capital! 💜

We learned that being “tall” isn’t about standing on your feet — it’s about standing strong, standing proud, and carrying yourself with confidence. 🙌

We talked about being clear, making eye contact, staying aware, using your voice, and using what you can control to your advantage. We also learned basic self-defense techniques, striking, blocking, pad work, and of course… breaking some boards! 🥋🪵💥

But the best part? The laughter, encouragement, new friendships, and watching everyone challenge themselves and say:

“YES, I CAN!” 💪✨

We are SO proud of every single one of you. We hope you left feeling a little stronger, more confident, empowered, and aware — and knowing that there is a place for you exactly as you are. 💜

Thank you for letting us be part of your journey. You showed us that barriers are meant to be broken! 🥋🔥

⚾🥋 Budokai Night at the ValleyCats!

A few highlights from an awesome Thursday night at the ballpark! Our US Budokai Karate Demo Team absolutely crushed it—but even better was seeing our students, kids, parents, families and friends all hanging out, laughing, cheering and enjoying being together.

That camaraderie and community is what makes Budokai so much more than a place to train. ❤️

And of course… Budokai Bear made a special appearance! 🐻🥋

Great demo. Great people. Great night. That’s Budokai spirit.

🥋 Budokai Spirit was STRONG tonight! ⚾️

The rain held off, our Leadership Demo Team stepped onto the field at the ValleyCats game, and these kids absolutely SHINED! 🌟

We couldn’t be prouder of the confidence, focus, energy, and teamwork they brought to tonight’s demonstration. What a great opportunity to represent US Budokai Karate and share a little of what our students work so hard on every week.

Thank you to our Budokai families who came out, cheered them on, and helped make tonight such a fun night for our dojo community!
