I am a New York State Certified Art Teacher and have taught for thirteen years in the Scotia Glenville School District. Rose, with a concentration in ceramics. My Bachelors degree is from Syracuse University, where I studied Fashion Design. This lead me to a career as a milliner designing elaborate hats for the Saratoga track scene. ourage others to grow in their creativity. My goal as an art educator has always been to share the experience of art and creativity with students of all ages, and encourage them to pursue the enrichment that art can give through self-expression. Students are exposed to various artists, techniques and movements in art, as they develop and refine their artistic skills. In the children's art classes I offer, I not only demonstrate new art techniques; but I integrate cultural and historical content into the program. I work with the students to help them learn to interpret and evaluate their own work, as well as famous works of art. Creativity does not end with childhood. I encourage my adult students to free their mind and discover the artistic potential within them. My workshops include a variety of media, and offer a wide range of opportunities for students of all ages to express their inner artist. Full step-by-step direction with individual help, no formal training required. They are bound to be fun as well as educational.
