Our camp sessions are full for the summer, but we have 3 exciting classes going on this summer that still have room! After Camp Garden Club and Music Class, and Family Jam Music Class!

Children ages 3.5 and up are eligible for the after-camp programs. You do not have to be signed up for camp to attend these programs.
- Gardening runs Mondays 11:30-1pm
- Music runs Wednesdays 11:30-1pm
- Sign ups are per class meeting, so you only sign up for what fits your schedule.

We have had so much fun sharing music and movement with many of you and your children this year; we hope we can do it again this summer!

Join us for a 6 week session of Family Jam on Thursday mornings at 9:30 am! Family Jam: A mixed aged class that accommodates multiple children per family, ranging from older infants to early elementary. Dates are 6/25, 7/2, 7/9, 7/16, 7/23, 7/30.

April showers bring May flowers! 🌻The gardens at school are starting to sprout! This year, we started some after-school programs for our 4 and 5 year olds, including Music Class and Garden Club. The kids have been learning about seed starting, composting, and now that the weather has warmed up, have been outside digging in the dirt and making observations in their notebooks. We can’t wait to see what they planted!

A few photos from our recent school-wide Field Day! We played special games outside all morning, made tie-dye t-shirts, played with our friends from both classes, and ended the morning with pizza and popsicles! The students agreed: BEST DAY EVER! Thank you Coach Emmie Go Kids for lending us the hilarious Granny Pants game!

The best part of our school is our teacher, Ms. Emily! She’s creative with her lesson plans, follows each child’s interests, and the students just love her!

April Recap! Last month, the children had a field trip to nearby Vischer Ferry Nature Preserve to explore. In anticipation of the trip, we returned to our year-long pond theme, and learned a little bit about some of the animals that we might find there: beavers, ducks, frogs, and turtles.

The classroom was filled with pond-themed activities, like building a beaver dam in the water table, or making pond-inspired art using cotton balls as paint brushes.

On the field trip, students focused on 4 of the 5 senses (sight, sound, smell, and touch) to help in their observations. We saw a baby beaver, a bridge, and a carp. We heard spring birds like geese and red wing black birds. We smelled a beaver mound and onion grass. We touched soft lamb’s ear leaves.

Our Spring Auction fundraiser was a huge success! We raised nearly $9000 and surpassed our fundraising goal for the year!

As a non-profit, every dollar donated goes right back to the school - to enhance our curriculum and school environment, maintain the school building and grounds, and provide professional enrichment of our teacher.

We are excited to share that registration for Summer Camp at CPNS is now open! The theme this summer is How Does Your Garden Grow, and Ms. Emily has planned 7 fun weeks of garden adventure!

🌷 Camp will consist of: outside play, snack, circle time, music and movement, crafts, and free play.

🌱 Camp runs Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9:30-11:30. Children ages 18 months - Grade 2 are welcome to join us. If your child is under 2, you must stay with them every day.

🦋 Cost is $75/session. Siblings are discounted to $65/session. If you volunteer as a Classroom Helper for your child’s session, a 50% discount will apply. The option to volunteer will be available through the Zeffy payment platform on a first come, first serve basis.

Clifton Park Nursery School's Annual Silent Auction 2026 All proceeds benefit Clifton Park Nursery School. The Silent Auction will close at 8pm EST April 20th. All items are to be picked up locally at CPNS or winner will need to pay for shipping. Happy Bidding!

Over the spring break, we had new floors installed in our classroom! The old floors had lived their most useful life, but it was time for replacement.

Over the last few years, we’ve had some major work done at the school, and it’s all because of donations from our community members. THANK YOU!

Here are some of the other improvement projects we’ve done recently:
- foundation repair
- new gutters
- removed dead trees from the playground
- added a heat source in the bathroom
- painted the exterior
- replaced fire escape egress window
- new electrical panel
