Our first Family Work Day was this weekend, and with a lot of families showing up, we made quick work of getting the school ready for our first day! Even the kids helped by raking fresh mulch over the playground, and decorating the front porch with one of the pumpkins we grew! The classroom got some fresh paint over the summer and a deep clean this weekend.

Family involvement in administrative roles helps keep our costs down and builds a strong sense of community. Thank you all for great work this weekend! Have a great first day of school everyone!

We currently have one opening available for our 2 day/week Tues/Thurs class! If your child is just getting started with preschool, this drop-off option will provide them with enough opportunity to start feeling comfortable in a small group with other children.

We still have spots open for our new afterschool program. Drama Club at CPNS invites young performers in grades K-2 to discover the joy of storytelling.

Our Fall Session starts September 16. In this class, "Fairy Tales, the True Story!", students will be introduced to basic acting and playwriting techniques by collaborating on the creation and performance of an original fairy tale. After acting out some traditional stories, and reading a few "fractured fairy tales," the class will select a minor character from a story and tell a new story from that character's perspective.

Family Jam music classes are starting again in September! Join Ms. Emily for a music and movement class the whole family can enjoy. Appropriate for ages 9 months-6 years.

This fall, Clifton Park Nursery School is starting a new afterschool program for Kindergarten-2nd grade! Drama Club at CPNS invites young performers to discover the joy of storytelling. Through playful introductions to acting and playwriting, children build the confidence to speak up, the teamwork skills to create alongside their peers, and a growing belief in their own creative voice. Every child leaves our program a little braver and a little prouder of who they are.

Our camp sessions are full for the summer, but we have 3 exciting classes going on this summer that still have room! After Camp Garden Club and Music Class, and Family Jam Music Class!

Children ages 3.5 and up are eligible for the after-camp programs. You do not have to be signed up for camp to attend these programs.
- Gardening runs Mondays 11:30-1pm
- Music runs Wednesdays 11:30-1pm
- Sign ups are per class meeting, so you only sign up for what fits your schedule.

We have had so much fun sharing music and movement with many of you and your children this year; we hope we can do it again this summer!

Join us for a 6 week session of Family Jam on Thursday mornings at 9:30 am! Family Jam: A mixed aged class that accommodates multiple children per family, ranging from older infants to early elementary. Dates are 6/25, 7/2, 7/9, 7/16, 7/23, 7/30.

April showers bring May flowers! 🌻The gardens at school are starting to sprout! This year, we started some after-school programs for our 4 and 5 year olds, including Music Class and Garden Club. The kids have been learning about seed starting, composting, and now that the weather has warmed up, have been outside digging in the dirt and making observations in their notebooks. We can’t wait to see what they planted!
