What a fantastic day for the Taylor Marching Band yesterday!

The Taylor Band took home 1st Place in our class and all of the captions! What an incredible accomplishment for these students, and one that would not be possible without the amazing people who support this program.

A huge shoutout to my students! Watching you continue to grow, push yourselves, and become the best versions of yourselves is one of the greatest parts of what we do. You continue to make the Taylor Band the best version of itself, and I couldn’t be more proud of you!

To the parents and guardians of our students — you are absolutely amazing! The support you give these kids and this program is incredible. You truly help make Taylor the best place to work!

And lastly, to my staff — we have the best team in the world! I am so incredibly appreciative that I get to work alongside each and every one of you. You are the vessel that allows this program to continue to grow, and I am grateful for everything you pour into our students.

This is a special group of people, and yesterday was another reminder of just how special the Taylor Band family is.

The Taylor Band will be back in action at Campbell County in two weeks! Come out and support these incredible kids!

Go Jackets!

Last week, our visual arts team hosted a successful Camp Create summer art camp for K-8 Three Rivers students and friends! The weeklong theme was Nature, and featured projects exploring printmaking, fabric arts, metal engraving, and sculpture. We hope to make Camp Create an annual summer event!
A special shout out to our middle school and high school volunteer helpers!

Miss Burichin’s 3rd grade art classes drew detailed creatures and Ms. Ferree’s THS Sculpture classes created hand sewn stuffed creatures using the drawings as references for their final exam projects. This past week, the high school students presented their work to the 3rd graders who drew the pictures! This is such a fun collaborative project for all!

Hey everyone!

I’m excited to share that I’ve made it into the Top 5 for America’s Favorite Teacher! I truly appreciate all the support you’ve given me so far—it means a lot.

If you have a moment, I would be incredibly grateful if you could cast a vote for me. Votes are worth double today, so it’s a great time to help out!

Thank you again for all your support!

For 14 years, I’ve shared the power of music. I love watching my band students find their voice through every note, rhythm, and rehearsal.
