Congratulations to our Taylor DECA CDC Finalists!! Alex McDonald: Principal of Business Administration, Blake Larkins and Chase Ausdenmoore: Financial Services Team, and Callie Ilg and Lucy Moeller: Sales Project. They are competing in the final round today and will find out at Grand Awards at 6:00 o’clock if they qualified for ICDC.

✨Taylor High School DECA Students Compete at Districts! ✨

Taylor High School DECA Students in the Finance Program showcased their skills by competing in the District 5 Competition! Through the finance program and DECA, students build real-world skills such as problem-solving, communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and professionalism--all while applying classroom knowledge to authentic business and finance scenarios.

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped prep the students for competition and for those who volunteer as a judge for the competition. We could not do this without you!

We are proud of our students for representing Taylor High School with confidence, dedication and professionalism. Experiences like DECA help prepare our students for college, careers, and future success. Best of luck to our competitors as they prepare to compete at the state level!

Taylor DECA’s chapter traveled to the Career Development Conference (CDC) held at the Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio on March 10-11, 2025. Students qualified for CDC by placing at DECA Districts. Bella Mastruserio placed in the Top 12 and qualified for Finals. Unfortunately, we did not have anyone qualify for nationals, but we had a great time eating in the Arena District, visiting North Market, and of course, eating Jeni’s Ice Cream!! My main goal is for students to enjoy themselves and make memories. Mission accomplished!!

Certain competitions require a pre-submitted written judging component which is completed virtually February 25th....

Ohio DECA District 5 held their competition today at Harrison’s Activity Center. The Taylor High School DECA chapter is part of District 5 and had 11 students qualify for DECA CDC (state)!

We will be highlighting each student next week. Congrats to all!

Hi everyone!

THS DECA is in need of a few things.

1) Accounting Internship--I have a great student who is interested in the field of accounting and would like to do, at the very least, a job shadow of an accountant/accounting department. If you have a suggestion please DM or send an email to [email protected].

2) We are also seeking professionals to serve as DECA judges. Our first (practice) competition is Friday, December 6th. Information is below. If you are interested or know someone who would be please DM or send an email to [email protected].
When: Friday, December 6, 2024 Arrive at 8:00 a.m. leave by 12:00 p.m.
Where: Harrison Activity Center (across from the high school)
What: Judge role plays for high school students who are practicing their business skills.

A Chick-fil-a box lunch will be provided.
