Congratulations to Clever Sophomore Shay Downum! She has received an offer to sign an early decision letter next year (end of junior year), with combined academic and archery scholarships (barebow and recurve) that will give her a full ride. Lyon is located in Batesville Arkansas and is a small private college of about 500 students. Shay would like to major in biology to pursue biomedical engineering. Way to go, Shay!

Our Fairy Godmother Prom Dress event is happening again this year! Monday, March 22nd 2021 at North Point Church 1362 N. Bryan Drive in Nixa, MO from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. We will have light refreshments available and lots of volunteers to help make dreams come true! This is a collaboration between The Avant Garde'n, Garde'n Gate Provisions, Lloyds Drycleaners, North Point Church, Torn Boutique and Care to Learn. If you would like to donate dresses, jewelry, shoes, handbags or cash, call 417-485-4857. We are also looking for volunteers! Thank you for helping us help others!

In these pandemic times, many school functions have been cancelled, postponed, or rearranged. The ways we have done things in the past have changed, and we now have additional protocols which must be followed at school events. After deliberation and meetings with the prom committee students and their parents, it has been decided that this year’s prom will be a parent-sponsored occasion. The school district will collaborate and assist in ways we can, but this will not be a district sponsored event. Below you will find information put together by our parents and students about this year’s parent-sponsored prom.
