James "JT" Sayre's career after graduation took him to the South Pole to develop detectors for the South Pole Telescope cameras, and onto his current venture as co-founder and CTO of eino, a startup that uses AI to improve wireless networks.

"I have always enjoyed studying difficult subjects with the attitude that it does not matter whether something is hard or extremely technical. You keep working at it until it begins to make sense," he said.

Norbert "Nobby" J. Lewandowski—Spartan Club Hall of Fame inductee and Nobby's Ballpark eponym—passed away at the age of 89 this week.

Lewandowski received his MBA from CWRU, juggling his class schedule while pitching for the Pittsburgh Pirates' farm system from 1960-62.
