Our next summer feature goes to soon to be junior Devin Knott! This summer he is working at Kowalski Engineering in Cincinnati, OH, which is a small geotech/civil firm that specializes in retaining wall design and construction review. While there, he has helped to design retaining walls for multiple sites all around the country, survey sites, and participate in things such as soil sampling and testing. He says that he's "also learned a ton about soils and how that factors into the design of structures, as well as how a civil engineering firm is ran and how to go about business professionally as an engineer!"
