One of our INSPIRE sites, D.M. Smith, wanted to share with you their vision boards. Each site is taught to not only dream, but also write down goals to remind each student that it’s only a few steps away from reality.

The Healing with a Groove 2.0 Documentary project has begun! Our senior college leader, Victor Famodimu, is our executive producer for the project. We know that he will capture the story of HWG that we will be proud of.

HWG highlights Kamala Harris for Black History Month! She is the very first woman, the first African-American, and the first South Asian American to be elected Vice President of the United States after a lifetime of public service, having been elected District Attorney of San Francisco, California Attorney General, and United States Senator. Throughout her career, she has been guided by the words she spoke the first time she stood up in court: Kamala Harris, for the people. Even though she was the first of many things, she is, however, determined not to be the last.

Jevon Hardy, I Challenge You and HWG student from Greenville, MS, asked our HWG Team to help him record and create a music video for his original song. Of course, we said YES! We loved the song and we were able to encourage him write more original songs to help build up his community and bring positive messages to his peers.

Listen. Vibe. Love. Share.
