Today was exactly what our team needed as we prepare to welcome students back!

A heartfelt thank you to Matt Stowers for sharing your heart, your passion, and for reminding us of our WHY. Your message challenged us to look beyond the trays and remember that every smile, every kind word, and every meal we serve has the power to make a difference in a child's day.

Our 2026–2027 theme is Students First, and today's message couldn't have been a better way to begin the school year. We left with our Y Charts completed, our purpose renewed, and a shared commitment to put students at the center of everything we do.

We're excited, we're motivated, and we're ready to serve our students with excellence, compassion, and purpose. Here's to a fantastic school year!

Free Breakfast & Lunch for ALL Students District-Wide!
We are thrilled to announce that White County School System will be continuing in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the 2026–2027 school year! Every school in our district will offer healthy meals to all enrolled students at no cost.

What Does This Mean for Your Family?
• Universal Free Meals: All enrolled students at any White County school will receive one full breakfast and one full lunch every instructional day at no charge.
• No Applications Required: Families do not need to complete a Free & Reduced-Price Meal Application. Every student automatically qualifies!
• Zero School Meal Debt: Ensures every child has equal access to nutritious food without accruing lunch debt.

A La Carte & Extra Purchases
While full daily meals are completely free, extra choices are available:
• A La Carte Items: Beverages, snacks, and single/extra food items are available for purchase in our cafeterias.
• Payment Requirement: To purchase a la carte items or extra food, students must have available funds in their school meal account or pay with cash.
• Prior Meal Debt: While daily meals under CEP are free, any existing meal balances from prior school years remain the responsibility of the household and must be settled.

Big shoutout to our White County Middle School football players and the White County High School admin team for jumping in to help us pack 4-day meal bags today!
Thanks for giving your time and energy to help make sure our students have meals to enjoy over the long weekend.
We couldn't do it without amazing community partners like you. We have had help from Rotary Club, BOE staff, and so many community members this summer. Thanks for showing up, pitching in, and making a difference! With your help we have served over 72,000 meals this summer to our students.
