🚀 Big things are happening at Oak Grove Elementary! 🚀

We are incredibly excited to share that Oak Grove has received a Manufacturing Growth Institute Grant for Public Service from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville! 🧡🖤

Our grant, Falcon Design & Production Studio, provided Oak Grove with 2 sublimation printers and 2 heat presses, opening the door to exciting new opportunities for hands-on learning! 👕🔥

This year, our 5th grade students will launch a T-Shirt Club, where they’ll explore the world of manufacturing, product design, entrepreneurship, and creative engineering through authentic, hands-on experiences. Students will have the opportunity to take an idea from concept to creation while developing skills that connect classroom learning to the real world. 💡🛠️📐

We are so thankful for the opportunity to give our Falcons another avenue to create, innovate, design, and dream BIG! 🦅💚

A huge THANK YOU to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and the Manufacturing Growth Institute for investing in our students and helping us prepare them for the future!

🌟 Growing Innovation at Oak Grove! 🌟

We are so excited to share some of the amazing things made possible through our Ocoee Utility District STEM Grant! 💚🖤

With this grant, Oak Grove has been able to add:
📚 STEM-related books to inspire young minds
🔬 New STEM bin materials for hands-on learning
🪑 New tables for our STEM Lab
🖨️ A 3D printer to bring ideas to life
🪚 A Chomp Saw for building, creating, and innovating

These resources will provide our students with opportunities to read, create, design, problem-solve, build, and innovate while making meaningful connections between literacy and STEM. 🚀📖🔧

A HUGE thank you to Ocoee Utilities for their continued support of Oak Grove Elementary and for investing in our students and their futures! We are so grateful for community partners who believe in the power of education and innovation. 💚

And guess what?! AR officially begins TODAY, too! 🎉 So grab a book, READ & TEST! 📖✅

We’re kicking off the year with Popsicles & Play! 🧊🛝

From August 17–31, the class in EACH grade with the most AR points AND an average of 85% or higher will earn:

🛝 25 minutes of extra recess during Library
🍧 Popsicles to celebrate!

That means 6 winning classes — one from every grade! 🏆
