STEM came to life as Tri-C’s Youth Technology Academy brought 120+ students from six schools to compete in a robotics competition during Cedar Point’s Physics, Science and Math Days. Guests also met Thunder, YTA’s programmable robotic dog, and explored technology demos led by staff and the Varsity Robotics Team 120!

The Youth Technology Academy FIRST Robotics Team 120 at Cuyahoga Community College recently captured the Rocket City Regional competition in Huntsville, Alabama — marking the team’s first regional championship since winning the world title in 2016.
Team 120 includes 16 students from nine Northeast Ohio high schools who are building real-world skills through Tri-C’s College Credit Plus program, studying robotics, drones, CAD, soldering and more. The team is also supported by mentors from NASA Glenn and Rockwell Automation.
