The Department of Music is pleased to congratulate faculty member Julie Andrijeski, Head of the CWRU Historical Performance Program, on receiving the Distinguished Alumna Award from the Lamont School of Music, University of Denver.
The award recognizes her outstanding contributions as a performer, scholar, and educator in the field of historical performance. During her visit to Denver, Andrijeski worked with the Lamont Baroque Orchestra, directed by former student Zoe Weiss, and participated in the school's annual awards celebration.

The Department of Music is pleased to announce that Erin Huang, flute, has been selected as the winner of the 2026 Ronis Prize Recital.

The selection panel praised Erin’s artistry, technical command, and musical expression throughout the selection process.
As part of the award, Erin will present the annual Ronis Recital in late October 2026. Additional details regarding the recital program and event information will be shared at a later date.
Congratulations as well to Erin’s instructor, Heidi Ruby-Kushious, and accompanist, Alicja Basinska, and thank you to all students and faculty who participated in this year’s audition process.

Francesca Brittan, Associate Professor of Music, has been awarded an Expanding Horizons / Experimental Humanities Grant for the creation of a Brain Media Lab, in collaboration with Vera Tobin (Cognitive Science) and Stephan Haluska (Music).

Cedar Point is looking for well-rounded singers, musicians, dancers, and actors to fill performance opportunities across the park. Spend your summer honing your craft, performing daily for thousands of guests, and networking with fellow artists from around the country—all while getting paid to do what you love.
📣🎵 We are looking for:
• Singers
• Dancers
• Actors
• Guitarists (electric/acoustic)
• Bassists (electric/upright)
• Keyboardists (synth/piano)
• Fiddle players
• Percussionists (drum set/marching)
• Horn players: Trumpet, Trombone, Tenor Sax, Sousaphone
Singing is a plus for any instrumental position, but not required.
Cedar Point entertainment features a wide range of styles—from classic rock and country to rockabilly, brass band, jazz, and pop.
