As part of CMSD's Building Brighter Futures plan, the school body will be moving to the Stephanie Tubbs Jones building in Glenville and be renamed Michael R. White Montessori School beginning in the fall of 2026.
The STONEBROOK building at 975 East Blvd., which is owned by Montessori Development Partnerships (MDP), WILL REMAIN OPEN.
MDP is in the process of developing the STONEBROOK MONTESSORI HUB which will foster an intergenerational, intercultural learning community from birth to mature adulthood. Public Montessori matters. A lot. Montessori is a child-centered, developmental approach to education that prepares children to be curious, joyful, lifelong learners and problem solvers who learn from a young age how to live in community with others in a peaceful way.
Both Stonebrook-White Montessori Campus and Tremont Montessori offer a tuition-free, public Montessori education. Montessori needs trained Montessori teachers to guide students and specialized-learning materials so that students can learn independently at their own pace. Public school budgets cover the operational costs, but not all that is needed for Montessori to be fully implemented.
Montessori Development Partnerships raises funds to support the full implementation of Montessori at Stonebrook-White Montessori Campus and Tremont Montessori.

We are so excited about the transformation at the Lower Campus. The new bioretention basin in the middle of the parking area will remove approximately 250,000 gallons of stormwater every year from the combined sewer system. We can't wait to see how the plants grow and beautify our campus.
