“ASAM appreciates the National Drug Control Strategy’s laudable goal of increasing access to evidence-based treatment for people with substance use disorders. The strategy rightly reinforces addiction as a chronic disease for which evidence-based treatments exist, including medication and psychosocial treatments that save lives and support recovery. Achieving these bold demand-side goals, however, will require equally bold investments in the nation’s addiction treatment infrastructure and meaningful policy changes at the federal level."

Medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) reduces mortality by at least 50% — yet only 20% of people experiencing OUD receive it due to provider bias, historical barriers and geographical challenges.
Our new training, “Getting Started with Medications for Treating Opioid Use Disorder,” gives treatment providers the tools to deliver MOUD with confidence. We’ll provide a roadmap for navigating the complexities of MOUD integration with evidence-based psychosocial treatments that reduce the risks of opioid use, including how to measure success through metrics like employment, family interactions and treatment retention.
In this free one-hour webinar, you’ll:
✔️Understand the neurobiological mechanism of OUD and how to incorporate buprenorphine, methadone and naltrexone.
✔️Evaluate how factors like organizational buy-in and psychosocial interventions affect MOUD implementation.
✔️ Build a comprehensive MOUD readiness checklist.
✔️ Earn CEUs and CMEs across roles.
Register to join us for the April 30th or May 21st training — link in bio.
