🔐 They Escaped the Room—but What They Showed Was Bigger Than the Escape. 💜💛

Today, the FORWARD founding team was challenged to think, communicate, trust, lead, and work together—and they escaped! 🔓

But the real win wasn’t getting out of the room.

It was seeing the kind of team we are becoming.

A team that will work together when things get hard.
A team that will lean on one another’s strengths.
A team that will push, encourage, and carry one another in moments of weakness.
A team that understands leadership isn’t always about having the answer—it’s knowing when to listen, when to step forward, and when to trust the person beside you.

Building something that has never existed before will have its challenging moments. There will be problems we have to solve, obstacles we didn’t anticipate, and moments when one of us may need the strength of the others.

Today reminded us that we don’t have to figure it out alone.

That is what a founding team does.

We think together. We push together. We lead together. And we move FORWARD together. 💜💛

Director of Operations: Ms. Kasey Morgan is an accomplished operations leader with extensive experience managing organizational systems, cross-functional teams, and strategic initiatives that support high-performing learning environments. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated exceptional strengths in operational planning, project management, compliance, family engagement, and organizational development. Known for building efficient systems and solving complex operational challenges, Morgan ensures that schools are positioned to operate effectively while maintaining a strong focus on service and continuous improvement.
As Director of Operations for FORWARD Girls Leadership Academy, Morgan oversees the operational infrastructure that supports the school’s successful launch and long-term sustainability. She leads enrollment operations, compliance, facilities management, budgeting support, vendor partnerships, student information systems, technology coordination, and daily school operations. As a founding member of the leadership team, she has played a critical role in translating the school’s vision into scalable systems that allow educators to focus on teaching while ensuring students and families experience a well-organized, responsive, and student-centered school environment.

With more than a decade of experience spanning classroom teaching, instructional coaching, and systems‑level leadership, Blake brings a deep commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and student agency.
Her leadership philosophy is grounded in high expectations, high accountability, and high support. She believes effective leadership requires setting clear goals, fostering collaboration, and maintaining a focus on equity and excellence.
Her coaching philosophy centers on leveraging the strengths of the educators she partners with, co‑creating shared visions for excellent instruction, and building systems that empower teachers to deliver outstanding academic outcomes for students.
