More 4th grade pumpkin fun 🎃

10/10/2026

🎃🍪 Fourth grade mixed up some learning and a sweet treat! Our Lions listened to a podcast about pumpkins and identified the main idea and supporting details. Then, we had a little by making delicious pumpkin cookies! 🦁

Celebrating Georgia Pre-K at the Creek! 🦁

Our youngest Lions enjoyed visits from special readers Natalie Carpenter, Jill Baughman, Danette Hasek, Amber Erhart, Katie Harris and Bee Fain! Each Pre-K student also received a copy of this year’s book, Every Amazing Song by Coy Bowles and Malcolm Mitchell, to enjoy at home! 🎶

We’re proud to be part of Georgia Pre-K, the largest state-funded preschool program in the nation to meet all 10 quality benchmarks set by the National Institute for Early Education Research and the first universal program to achieve this milestone!

Thank you to our guest readers and Pre-K teachers for helping our little Lions grow a love of reading! 🦁💙

Sometimes the sweetest moments at the Creek happen right in the hallway. 💙💛

An amazing school resource officer that takes time to build relationships, even if that means pulling up a spot on the floor. We are so thankful for the kindness, patience, and heart our resource officer brings to MCES and for helping our Lions feel safe, seen, and cared for.
