We are so proud to share that Candy's Creek Cherokee Elementary School has been named a 2025-2026 Tree Campus by the Arbor Day Foundation! 🌳

This special recognition celebrates the school’s commitment to trees, environmental education, hands-on learning, campus beautification, and community partnerships.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Mrs. Rebecca Lay, an educator at Candy’s Creek Cherokee and leader of the school’s PTO, for helping guide this effort. Her leadership, creativity, and care helped make this recognition possible.

The trees on campus do more than make Candy’s Creek Cherokee a beautiful place to learn and grow. They provide shade, support student well-being, create outdoor learning opportunities, and help students build a lifelong appreciation for nature.

Congratulations to our Candy’s Creek Cherokee Elementary School Running Club on an amazing season and successfully completing the 5K Summer Sizzler last night in Cleveland! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️💙💛❤️

We are so proud of all the hard work, dedication, and training our Thunderbirds put into preparing for this event. Several of our students even placed in their age divisions — way to go, Thunderbirds! 🎉

A huge thank you to Mrs. Burke and Miss Powers for sponsoring and leading this club throughout the season. Thank you for encouraging our students to stay healthy, active, and committed to their goals.
