Engines rebuilt. Skills sharpened. Confidence earned.

The students at Elyria Catholic wrapped up their minibike engine rebuilds and, in true Motogo fashion, got the thrill of kickstarting a motorcycle. 🏍️🔥

These talented students demonstrated impressive mechanical skills, dedication, and teamwork throughout the project. Great work bringing these engines back to life!

This week is National Automotive Service Professionals Week—and we have a lot of feelings about it.

There are approximately 73,000 openings for automotive service technicians projected every single year in this country. And yet shop class, the place where students first discover they might love this kind of work, has almost completely disappeared from schools.

That's the gap Motogo exists to fill.

We put middle and high schoolers in front of real motorcycle engines and let them take the whole thing apart. They strip bolts. They reassemble things wrong. They figure out why.

To every mechanic, technician, and automotive professional out there—thank you for proving every day that working with your hands is skilled, essential, irreplaceable work.

We're doing our part to make sure the next generation knows it too.

🏍️ Motogo Summer Camps are here—and we want your kid in the shop.

This summer we're offering two hands-on engine building camps at the Motogo Space, designed for middle and high schoolers who are ready to learn something real.

🔧 Mini Bike Engine Build
July 13–16 | 1:00–4:30 PM | $315
Perfect for first-timers. Students explore the fundamentals of small engine mechanics—how engines work, how to handle tools safely, and how to think like a problem-solver.

⚙️ Motorcycle Engine Build
August 10–13 | 9:00 AM–3:00 PM | $435
The full experience. Students take a complete Honda CB 350 engine apart piece by piece—then put it back together. This one builds serious mechanical confidence.

Both camps are taught by experienced Motogo coaches in a safe, supervised environment. No prior experience required.

Spots are limited. Register today at motogocleveland.com/summerprograms and tag a parent who needs to see this. 👇

Here's what Motogo has been up to!

We've been in the shop, in the schools, and everywhere in between—and our students have been showing OUT. Swipe to meet a few of them. ➡️

Photo 1 — St. Dominic
First student in Motogo history to attempt AND successfully install a Heli-Coil into a minibike engine. We don't hand out titles lightly—but this one's official. History made.

Photo 2 — Mary Queen of Peace
These young women didn't just do the work. They CRUSHED it. Engine done, confidence fully loaded. That's what shop class looks like in 2026.

Photo 3 — The Kickstart
He didn't finish his engine and that's okay. Because the moment he kicked that motorcycle over? Pure joy. The engine isn't always the point. Sometimes the point is exactly that face.

Photo 4 — Breakthrough Glenville
He joined class a little late. Just put his head down and SCRAMBLED to finish his engine—and he did. That's not luck. That's grit.

Photo 5 — Adult Happy Hour Build
Because shop class isn't just for kids. These two came out to our last Adult Happy Hour Build and left with grease on their hands and a whole lot of bragging rights. Want in? Our next one is July 16th. Don't wait, spots go fast. www.motogocleveland.com/events

The shop never stops. Neither do our students—or our adults, apparently.

Happy 🦕

Shop class disappeared from schools around the same time as a lot of other things we probably should have kept.

We're not saying shop class went extinct like the dinosaurs. But we're also not NOT saying that.

The good news? Unlike the dinosaurs, shop class is making a comeback. We're putting tools back in students' hands, one Honda CB350 engine at a time.

(We did ask him to wear a helmet. He said his head was too big. We're looking into custom sizing.)
