Delta State University mourns the loss of President Emeritus Dr. Forest Kent Wyatt, whose life and leadership left an enduring mark on the university and the Mississippi Delta. During his 24 years as president, Dr. Wyatt guided Delta State through a period of remarkable growth while remaining deeply committed to its students, faculty, staff and surrounding community.

The Delta State family extends its heartfelt condolences to the Wyatt family, and joins the Cleveland community in remembering a devoted educator, respected leader and beloved friend whose legacy will remain part of the university for generations to come.
