Cleveland Institute of Art Cleveland Institute of Art is a premier college of art and design offering 13 BFA majors.

CIA offers Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in 13 majors across art, design, craft, and integrated media. We extend our programs to the public through gallery exhibitions, artist lectures, a continuing education program for adults and children, and the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque, an art and independent film program.

🏆 We're proud to share that CIA's Interactive Media Lab was recognized by the Greater Cleveland Partnership's Best of Tech Awards for Education and Training, recognizing organizations that create pathways into the technology and build the talent needed to compete and grow.

What does that mean for CIA students? Animation and Game Design students have a Hollywood-caliber studio and arcade to create new worlds and bring characters to life. Design students have production studios that help turn their concepts into everyday products that people love to use. And visual arts students have tools that allow them to expand their practice and explore new ways of making.

From the classroom to the workplace, CIA is committed to cultivating creative and innovative leaders in art + design!

Our 2026 Faculty and Studio Operations exhibitions are right around the corner! 🌟
The Faculty Exhibition, a tradition spanning more than 100 years, showcases the innovation and artistry of our faculty. Alongside it, the Studio Operations Exhibition highlights the ingenuity of our Studio Operations team members, experts who support students and faculty every day while pursuing their own creative practices!

Join us for the opening reception on Thursday, September 3 at 6 PM! The exhibitions will be on view through October 11 in the Reinberger Gallery and the Ann and Norman Roulet Student + Alumni Gallery.‌ Don't miss it!
