Why Beginning of the Year Forms Matter

As we prepare for the start of school, we ask that every family complete the Beginning of the Year Forms that are on your Digital Academy dashboard by Monday, August 17. Students may not begin school until all required forms have been submitted.

Completing Beginning of the Year forms before school starts is essential to ensure a safe, smooth, and successful start for every student. These forms provide the school with critical information, including emergency contacts, medical needs, permissions, and updated family details.

When all forms are submitted on time, it helps us begin the school year focused on learning, community building, and creating a positive experience for every student from day one. Thank you for your support!

🎓 Welcome home, Class of 2022!

It was such a joy to welcome many of our alumni back to IWA for the Class of 2022 Reunion. As you continue your journey beyond high school—whether you're graduating from college, starting a career, serving your community, or pursuing new dreams—we pray that God continues to guide your path and bless you with success.

Congratulations on all you've accomplished since leaving IWA. We can't wait to see where life takes you next and remember that you always have a home at IWA!

Our second graders had a wonderful time this spring bringing history to life in social studies! 🌎

After learning how Native American tribes adapted their homes and tools to the regions where they lived, students designed and built their own dwellings using natural and household materials. They also explored the meaning of totem poles in western Native American cultures and how they can represent themselves and their families. Our students had the opportunity to create personalized totem poles that reflected their own identities!

Hands-on learning, creativity, and collaboration made history come alive in our classroom!

More Than a New Parking Lot!

Over the summer, one of the largest improvement projects in recent school history took place at Incarnate Word Academy. Rather than simply resurfacing our parking lot, the existing pavement was completely removed and the entire lot was reconstructed from the ground up, creating a safer, more functional, and longer-lasting space for our school community.

The project also brought several exciting enhancements, including additional parking spaces near the Shrine, expanded visitor parking, and designated administrative parking at the front of the building. By relocating more vehicles to the front lot, we have significantly reduced the number of cars parked in the back, allowing us to maximize outdoor play space for our students.

Our playground also received several fun additions! Freshly painted courts provide new opportunities for games and physical activity, while colorful gross motor pathways encourage movement through activities such as bear crawls, leap frogs, and crab walks. A new chalk art zone gives our young artists a dedicated space to express their creativity and imagination.

These improvements reflect our ongoing commitment to creating a campus that is safe, welcoming, and designed to support both learning and play. We can't wait to see our Warriors enjoy these new spaces throughout the school year!

We are seeking candidates for a long-term substitute computer teacher, working with students in preschool through eighth grade for the 2026-27 school year. The start date is August 18th and will culminate at the end of the first quarter.
