Here’s the fix for the misalignment of the purfling. I used Blend all powders from StewMac to draw a fine off white line. Then I used Micron pens to finesse it. I taped off a larger area as shown and sprayed 3 coats Ilva. I removed the tape and using 1200-2000 sanded until the hard tape line was gone. Then to the buffer. I also use the same techniques to Fix any problems with the clear finish.

So. I had to replace the top after the guitar was finished. Yuck. The replaced top worked out fine but the geometry changed for the neck and the result was the maple veneer in the neck heel cap no longer lined up. How do you think I fixed it? Make new neck?, Make a new heel cap? Or something else? Answer and pics tomorrow

I’ve added two new back and side sets of Bog Oak. This is a wonderful Tonewoods with gorgeous ray fleck and a dark brown color. This ancient wood is recovered from peat bogs in Europe. DM me if you’re interested in a build with this beautiful wood.
