We love our summer trips to the Mennonite Market in Delano for seasonal fruits & veggies and baked goods! Thank you to Lynda Lunn for sharing the bounty of her flower garden with us. Each student got to create a bouquet to take home!
How would you prepare for your Food Network show? With headshots!
Check out these pictures from Annabelle Brnik! Thanks,

Hall of Fame: Chefs and Food was a hit! Our students loved learning about the restaurant industry, famous American chefs, and testing out the world’s best recipes for chicken nuggets, chocolate chip cookies, and cake!

Our Tennessee Trails Hiking Club enjoys an invigorating walk in nature at a different location each week. So far this summer we have visited Little Debbie Park, Veterans Memorial Park of Collegedale, the Cleveland Greenway, and the Jim Sharp Park Adaptive Playground.

Week 2 of our "Hall of Fame" Summer was Local Leaders Camp! Our students explored the history of Cleveland and the leaders who helped shape our region. We learned about the Cherokee Nation and its leaders, Benjamin Cleveland, for whom our city is named, and Taylor Springs, often recognized as the birthplace of Cleveland. To wrap up the week, Mr. Jake took us on a tour of the Benjamin Cleveland statue, the Cherokee Chieftain sculpture, and Taylor Springs Park. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect our classroom learning with local history and experience these important landmarks firsthand.
Thank you to guest speakers Dr. Julie Martinez, Dave Luzader, and Tim Ivey who helped make this week meaningful and memorable for our students!

Take a peek into our kitchen as students make Ancient Grain Cinnamon Rolls! We practiced reading a recipe, measuring ingredients, following instructions, and using a mixer, rolling pin, and kitchen knife. Students prepared the dough in the afternoon and baked the cinnamon rolls the next day for a sweet morning treat!

We are thrilled to return to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga on Wednesday mornings this summer to volunteer. What a fantastic opportunity for our students to serve others and give back to our community, while simultaneously practicing the life skills necessary to take care of our homes and workplaces!
