🌟 Proud to represent WCSS at the GADOE Rural Education and Innovation Summit! 🌟
We are honored that the White County School System was highlighted as a district exemplar in improving student attendance!
Our team—Mrs. Erica Owens, Mrs. Laura Hall, and Mrs. Ciarra Motes—joined Dr. Lindsey Oliver, GADOE School Social Work Specialist, to present our collaborative strategies and practices for supporting students and families to boost school attendance.
Thank you to our dedicated team for representing WCSS with excellence on the state stage!

Principal Steve Horton shared, “We are proud to announce that White County High School’s graduation rate was just released, and it is an incredible 99.24%. This starts with our elementary teachers who lay the foundation. It grows with our middle school staff who build the habits and confidence. It finishes with our high school staff who see each and every student across the stage.

This also belongs to our community: the parents, businesses, churches, coaches, and volunteers who show up for our students every day. I could not be more proud to be a Warrior, and I would be remiss if I didn’t recognize Mary Anne Collier for her service and commitment to our students.
