Bradley Wrestling Philosophy:
We will work to positively shape the student-athletes minds, morals, and bodies; teaching to excel in the classroom, be gentlemen in society, and dominate on the wrestling mat. To win at these levels, we must outwork our opposition. Whether on the mat, on the track, on the pavement, on the trails, in the weightroom, or anywhere else we may train - we must push oursel
ves and keep our goals in mind! Mental toughness is a key ingredient for our program to be successful. With a strong mind, obstacles are overcome and peer pressure is not yielded to. We will not give in to peer pressure and we will hold ourselves accountable in all aspects of our lives. Character, Pride, and Intensity, the core beliefs that Bradley Wrestling was founded on, will be reflected in how we live, prepare, and compete. We will live a "CHAMPIONSHIP LIFESTYLE." We will do our best and fight hard to continue the Tradition of OUR Program. Two quotes from Dan Gable that help shape our philosophy:

Expectations:
Socially, we are gentlemen. We will not engage in negative social activities. Drugs, alcohol, and to***co should be avoided. This could be the difference in winning and losing, achieving your goals and not. We will graduate with the highest attainable GPA and set ourselves up for a great, successful future. We will be held accountable for our work in the classroom as well as on the mat. We will outwork our competition...on the mat, in the weight room, any form of conditioning and drilling, we will simply outwork them. Our hard work will fuel our success. We will prepare properly in order to prevent poor performance. Whether it be weight maintenance, conditioning, nutrition, etc., we will follow the path that does not involve short cuts. There are no short cuts on the path to excellence. Fight hard for the duration of every match. No stalling calls. No illegitimate injury timeouts. No backing off the edge of the mat. We will be entertaining in our wrestling by putting on a spectacular display of intense wrestling while dominating our opponents. This takes a tremendous commitment in attitude and spirit; so we will discipline our minds and bodies accordingly. We will push our opponents to the point of exhaustion and do everything we can within the rules to dominate our opponent. Domination is the aim, winning by the greatest margin possible. We do this not for the glory, but for the intense self satisfaction.
